CANCELLATION TIMELINE (SUMMARY TABLE)

Cancellation timeline

If you need to cancel your booking, the following charges apply based on how far in advance we receive written notification.

The deposit (30% of total booking value) is non-refundable in all circumstances. The table below applies to the remaining balance only.

HOW TO CANCEL

How to cancel

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. We do not accept verbal cancellations by phone.

Step 1 — Email us
Send a cancellation request to reservation@viscovery.hr from the email address used to make the booking. Include your full name, booking dates, and number of guests.

Step 2 — Confirmation from us
We will confirm receipt of your cancellation in writing within 48 hours. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written request — not the date you send it. Please make sure you receive our confirmation before assuming the cancellation is processed.

Step 3 — Refund processing
Eligible refunds are processed within 14 working days of written cancellation confirmation. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. If payment was made by bank transfer, refunds are issued by bank transfer to the account provided.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Cancellation insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests take out travel insurance that includes cancellation cover before making a booking. Given that weeks sell out in advance and the deposit is non-refundable, insurance is the most effective way to protect your investment if your circumstances change unexpectedly.

Our optional cancellation insurance

We offer cancellation insurance in partnership with Erste osiguranje. If you or a member of your group is genuinely unable to travel due to illness or unforeseen legal or administrative proceedings, you can be refunded the full amount paid on presentation of supporting documentation (e.g. a medical certificate).

The premium is 10% of the total booking value and must be paid at the same time as your deposit. It cannot be added after the deposit has been paid. If you would like to include this insurance with your booking, let us know when you enquire and we will add it to your booking contract.

Example: A booking of €3,598 (2 adults at €1,799) would require an insurance premium of €359.80, paid alongside the €1,079 deposit. If you then needed to cancel for a covered reason, the full €3,598 would be refunded.

CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING

Changing your booking

Changing your arrival date
If you need to move to a different week, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Date changes made more than 56 days before arrival can be transferred to another available week in the same season at no charge, subject to availability. Date changes within 56 days of arrival are treated as a cancellation and a new booking.

Changing the number of guests
If the number of guests in your party reduces after booking, the price adjusts accordingly — but the deposit remains non-refundable for the original number of guests. Adding guests is subject to availability and confirmation from us.

Transferring your booking to someone else
You may transfer your booking to another person or family, subject to our agreement, provided we are notified in writing at least 28 days before arrival. An administration fee of €50 per booking applies. Both parties must agree to the transfer in writing.

IF WE NEED TO CANCEL

If VIScovery cancels your week
We have never cancelled a week in 16 years of operation. In the very unlikely event that we are forced to cancel — due to circumstances entirely beyond our control — we will notify you as early as possible, and a minimum of 60 days before your arrival date wherever possible.

Full refund
If we cancel your week for any reason within our control, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to VIScovery, including the deposit, within 14 working days.

Force majeure
In cases of force majeure — events entirely beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, government travel restrictions, or severe weather that makes the island inaccessible — we will offer either a full transfer to another available week in the same or following season, or a refund of the balance paid (excluding the deposit). We will always work with you to find the fairest possible solution.

VIScovery is not responsible for costs incurred in preparing for a cancelled week, including non-refundable flights, visa fees, travel insurance premiums, or equipment purchased. This is another reason we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

WEATHER AND ACTIVITY CHANGES

No-shows & early departure

If you do not arrive on your booked Saturday without prior written notice, the booking is treated as a no-show and no refund is offered.

If you choose to leave the island early for any reason, no refund is offered for the unused portion of the week. If you are asked to leave due to conduct that is disruptive or dangerous to other guests or staff, no refund is offered.
