Adventure Week
DAY 1.
Welcome to our Holiday Home on the island of Vis (via Split town with the ferry). After an introduction to the island and the village we will walk down with you to all the five local beaches for a short jump in the sea. In between we will cook a delicious dinner where we talk more about the weekly plans and specific itinerary.
DAY 2
After a morning walk and great breakfast, we are going to be boarding the boat to go to the two nearby islands, one with the amazing Green cave, and the other, Budihovac, with a wonderful Blue lagoon. Snorkelling, swimming and cliff jumping will be the highlights of the morning. We return for a three-course lunch with some local fruits for the finish. Afternoon will be at your leisure at our nearby beaches, all walking distance from the house. Dinner will be served in our garden with candle lights and local stories.
DAY 3
After breakfast we drive to the other side of the island and try to hike down to Stiniva beach, a beach that was voted to be the most beautiful beach in Europe in 2018. Breath-taking views on the walk down and if not wanting to hike back up, we will take you with the boat to the nearby bay where the drive will bring us back to our house for lunch. We will have time to enjoy the beach and the special atmosphere in the cove without the phone signal. Afternoon will be spend relaxing on nearby beaches. This evening we will recommend a restaurant in the middle of the island with a view over to the remains of the airport from the WWII where you will be able to try some other local food.
DAY 4
This day is going to be about visiting the Fishermen town of Komiža on the western side of the island of Vis. After the breakfast we are going to drive to the town and have some Scavenger Hunt in Komiža town and after try to swim on all of the Komiža’s 7 beaches. Returning for lunch at home and relaxing for the afternoon. We will suggest a visit to the town of Vis for the evening dinner with a visit of the outside movie theatre seeing Mamma Mia 2 movie or exploring the town of Vis’s history.
DAY 5
After the breakfast we will pack you your own lunch and you will have a day to relax on your own. We have a few suggestions for you: like a discovery scuba dive, speed boat trip to the Blue cave on the island of Biševo, trip around the island with scooters, quad safaris or electric bikes, or just relaxing on the local beaches. A dinner at some local restaurants will be suggested.
DAY 6
Early breakfast as we are going to do some history sightseeing including the Military caves from the times of the cold war, Fortress of St. George from the English times of the island (from 1811 onwards), some snorkelling around the possible Greek and roman ruins around the peninsula of Prirovo (Vis town is the oldest town in Croatia, named Issa after the Greeks from about 2500 years ago) and relaxing in the beach bar in between. Lunch served at home and relaxation for the afternoon.
DAY 7
A day of the southern side of the island with three sandy beaches in three different bays will be on our itinerary for the day. After breakfast we will jump into the Milna bay, those wanting to explore the Zaglav bay will be invited to walk about 15 min to another bay with crystal clear blue water, and the later we will drive for a few min to another bay of Stončica with another possible walk to the light house at the end of the World. You will be served an amazing farewell dinner at our house.
DAY 8
After full breakfast we depart to town of Vis for the ferry departure to Split for your home bound flights or continuation of your holidays.
How YOUR DAY might look like
A typical day starts with a morning wakeup call with some relaxing music and a cup of freshly cooked herb tea made from the herbs picked up around the island of Vis.
You will be invited for a swim where you will feel of the wind breeze and the ocean spirit. Leisurely breakfast with a homemade bread and marmelades and tons of homemade delicatessen and perhaps a chat with the guide about the best beach visit for the day will be around 10:00 (or later if you decide so).
Packed lunch or lunch at home will be served around 1 pm. In the free afternoon you will be able to enjoy the serenity of the beaches around or do some more sporting activities on your own.
You might just sit in the house garden and read all the novels brought from home. Afternoon cake and tea will be served around 5 pm. Dinners will be either eaten home or we will take you to the best local restaurants for a cuisine dinner.
We are experts knowing the island and we will show you places that you would never imagined.
We like to offer you individual pace of what you want to do. But for sure, you will be discovering picturesque landscapes of this beautiful island of Vis and you will be staying in a friendly apartment house with a character. Also, the food will be of regional cuisine and will just be delicious.
It not just where you want to go and spend your holidays but it is HOW!
We make travel meaningful by thinking small. The group of travelers is of 12 people max who are typically a mix of solo travelers, friends travelling together, families or couples, all of varying ages, backgrounds and nationalities.
You will sure make some new best friends this week with us. Your guide will be responsible for enriching your holidays and will offer la BIG local insight! We think local and we want to offer you something more than just a hotel room.
We want to give you a bit of freedom, as YOUR trip is just that: yours! If you are going to want to stay and read the book all day? Consider it done. We just want to give your trip a guiding line and direction, but you decide what you want to do with it!
What is included in the price?
You will be coming to the island of Vis and we would like to make your holidays worry free. We will include:
- Transportation from the town of Vis (arrival destination on the island of Vis) to the village of Rukavac
- Accommodation in a studio or one-bedroom apartment with all the linens, towels and bathroom supplies
- Breakfasts and lunches on all days and dinners three times in a week (the other four times we will help you with decisions of where to explore the island’s culinary treats in the local restaurants)
- All drinks with all the served meals
- 5 mornings of beach hopping – we will visit more than 20 beaches – equipment and guides and visits of the natural beauty of the island of Vis
- All the island’s transportation to and from activities
- Afternoon cakes and tea and coffee
- Deck chairs around the house
- WI-FI connection
- Parking if needed.

We offer a delightful holiday week with the flexibility to arrange prices separately, ensuring a personalized experience tailored to your preferences and budget. Exclusions from the price?
- International or domestic flights; you are on your own of how to arrive to the island of Vis. Many airlines from all the European biggest airports fly into Split airport, 25 km from Split town. There are daily ferries and fast boats connecting the port of Split and the island of Vis.
- Optional tours that can be bought on a supplement, for example: your own trips around the island of Vis: Blue Cave on the island of Bisevo or Military tour.
- Meals other that those mentioned as included.
- Visa, passport, travel insurance!
- Entrance fees to attractions not specified as included.
It is important to note that there is a maximum number of participants: 12 guests per group. Larger groups can be arranged upon request.
Minimum age: We suggest that your child is 6 years old or more, but we are happy to plan holidays with younger children as well.

Unspoiled nature
The island of Vis is like an unspoiled example of the way the islands were 70 years ago and the village of Rukavac is off beaten trek with a very good swell. If you add numerous beaches all around, you are onto something special without distractions. It is going to be a perfect destination for those wanting the quiet getaway with gorgeous clear sea and delectable gastronomy.
Experience the island as a local
On your vacation, we will take you places to relax with your toes in the sand, beaches for the snorkelling, and even more, to the places to see the numerous caves and coves of the Adriatic coast with the bays nearby. But it is not going to be all about the sunbaking at these beaches, the idea of this holiday is being relaxed, having fun, do a bit of sport, have loads of good food and smiles on everyone’s face. We would like you to shake off the limitations of retail tourism and experience our place as the locals, so you are going to be absorbed in our culture as much as possible.
A bit of activity
We are trying to keep active with a lot of beach activities and sightseeings in between all that beach hopping throughout the week. We visit at least two beaches per day, and these are all within a few minutes of boat riding, car travelling, kayak paddling, mountain biking or walking. As you please and whatever you wish. But we for sure take you to the Stiniva beach, an extraordinary beach that has been voted to be the most wonderful beach in Europe and one of the beaches of Mamma Mia 2 movie that was filmed on the island of Vis in 2017.
Culinary excellence
Add to all that wonderful nature our superb local cuisine, the wine produced from the island producers and local chef, there is nothing but happiness and the pure relaxation time.
Family, friends or alone
Vis Island and its beaches and active things to do could be the classic family vacation, but the place is also amazing for the romantic getaways, escape trips with friends, or even solo travelling.
Our group size is of a maximum of twelve people as our house has four rooms/apartments, each with private bathroom, terrace, entrance and living room.
Part of the house is an outside living room under the pine trees, a dining room with a big dining table where the library is and an outside kitchen where our chef prepares home-made meals.
Having only a small number of guests is a reason why we keep everything flexible.
The house is in a village surrounded by the sea and five beaches all walking distance from the house, so your afternoons could be spent relaxing, snorkelling, reading under the pine trees or helping us out preparing dinners.
Numerous trips
We have about twenty-day trips/beaches to choose from and after we check the weather report for the next day, we decide together. Whatever your style would be – a very adventure and active person who loves seeing it all or total rest and relaxation – we have something for everyone.
If travelling with kids, we offer range of activities specially designed for kids – from toddlers to teens, we make sure that the Vis Island will stay with them forever.
Same goes if you travel in a couple as we promise romantic beaches, sunset places, and some stunning locations. We make special care for the safety of all our guests and all the extra needs are taken to ensure that all of you remains safe on all the beach activities that we do.
We will take care of you
Our family has been on the island forever, so every part of your holidays will be something local: good local food, great local drinks, amazing local deserts and we will share insights into our culture in a special way. We will cook all the breakfasts and all the lunches for you, and we will include three dinners. We try to cater for almost any dietary needs.
For the rest of the evenings, you will be able to decide to eat with other locals who are our long-time friends and have restaurants all around the island, so you would be able to see some more parts of the island as well.
We will suggest places to venture further afield than the tourist bubble, so you will get even better glimpse of life through the local eyes.

This is our cozy and spacious family room(s), located on the bottom floor.
